What is This Blog All About and Why Call it Ruminate?

I will use this blog to share my professional/personal musing with colleagues and others who may be interested. Though this blog will primarily focus on my professional activities, my personal self will be very present. A personal/professional split is often a false dichotomy.  After all, wherever I go, there I am. Any thoughts I express here are my own and not affiliated with the University of Dundee.

My first degree was a  joint degree in Philosophy and Religion, and I have always had a bit of a philosophical bent. As such, I tend to think, ponder, philosophise, search for meaning, play with concepts and ideas. In short, I chew conceptual cud. Hence, ruminate fits.
